The “Who To Watch On Youtube” List
Don’t know what to watch on Youtube? Stuck in the endless scroll, without the will to commit to anything?
Don’t worry, I got you.
The list below is composed of some of my favorite channels on Youtube. A limited, curatedlist. A scroll that isn’t endless.
However, we don’t all have the same tastes. As such, I’ve created categories for each channel to describe what they’re about. However, note that this may not necessarily encompass exactly what all of their videos are about. Think of it as a general overview.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS
- If a creator is listed here, I recommend that you watch what they make. However, this does not mean that I endorse the persons of the creators listed here (unless stated otherwise)
- They might be good people. They might be assholes. I don’t care. I like the stuff that they make.
- With that being said, if I find out that they did something heinous that would warrant me to stop watching them, I’ll take them out. This has happened a lot before. Remember, Youtubers are not your friends just because you feel like you know them by watching their videos.
- As such, there is a list I have of people I will (likely) never add to this list. They make good stuff (often political), but have done really horrible stuff in the not-so-distant past, and either never apologized or have done a non-apology that could borderline be considered gaslighting (I will name Andrew Callaghan here). As such, unless something changes, I won’t be watching their stuff, and they won’t be listed here.
- Some people might, after reading this, be surprised to see Vaush listed here. If you already have a bad a priori of him, but want to see what he has to say about common clips shared of him, I recommend his (aptly named) context video.
- I do not know the people in the list. I just like their stuff.
- If I know them or talk to them, I will indicate it. For a list such as this one, I think it’s important to fully disclose biases.
- Biases are the thing that make curation even possible and interesting, and are necessary. However, someone being a friend, or “friend of the website” adds additional, different biases on my part.
- If I know them or talk to them, I will indicate it. For a list such as this one, I think it’s important to fully disclose biases.

Video essays to make you think about life through media (often video games). Often personal, and very touching.

Reject Convenience
Disclaimer : Over the past few years, I’ve come to know and talk to this creator. I’m also a mod on their forum. They are both a friend and friend of the channel/website as of July 22, 2025.
I first came across Reject Convenience in early 2023, when I watched his video explaining how and why he switched to a dumb phone.

Then, half of the other videos talk about World of Darkness, the world of Vampire The Masquerade. I haven’t really watched many of those videos, but the one about Hannibal being a Faery was very interesting and taught me about the lore of that universe.
What I’m recommending his channel for is mainly for his societal commentary videos. They are very, VERY good. Are you a woman? They will give you very interesting insight on the ways that patriarchy also fucks men over. Are you a man? They will both give you an insight on how patriarchy negatively impacts you, but also how you can better understand women, and how they are massively fucked over as well.
I’ll have to rewrite this whole thing because I don’t think I’m doing a good job at describing it and selling it to you. Thing is, everything here is free, so I don’t need to.
TLDR: Watch the videos! They offer a nuance and uniques points of view not often seen on this hellsite.

There are channels I’ve enjoyed, but have, for whatever reason, stopped watching as much. Maybe, I’ve liked the channel in the past, but because of a change in my tastes or change in what the channel makes, I’ve veered away from it.
Sometimes, it’s not even that, and just that I haven’t watched it as much lately.
Of course, me deleting a channel from this page doesn’t mean that it’s bad. It might simply not be for me.
Again, this is a recommendation specifically from me.
However, if I don’t want to take a channel completely out, but I can’t keep it in the main list, I’ll move it down here.
