I like the vastness of space we have here on earth. As I’ve already talked about in a video, I’m fascinated by the size of video game maps for the same reason. Did you know that the map of Breath of the Wild is about the same size as Manhattan?
However, the maps we’re used to lie to us about the size of certain areas of earth, especially countries and continents. In the world map we’re used to, countries closer to the south and north pole appear bigger than they really are, and countries closer to the equator appear smaller.
Iceland is not that big. In contrary, Brazil is way larger than we realize.
Also, did you know that you could comfortably fit the USA, India and China inside of Africa, and still have room to spare? TrueSizeOf is the perfect tool to be able to visualize this, and I love playing around with it.

The only video game map I could find on the website was the map of Skyrim. Did you know that it’s about 60% of the size of Manhattan ?
This project is wonderful. It lets you compare the size of cities, islands, countries and more. Absolutely awesome !
Highly recommend just browsing it.

Do you want a website to build your resume ? Are you tried of predatory tools that force you to pay to export a pdf, once you’ve already put hours into building your CV ?
CVDesignr is a 100% free tool to build resumes. 100% free as in completely free. There’s no subscription model. You can’t give them money even if you want to.
Also, this is the only CV maker I actually use. I’ve landed all my recent jobs using resumes built with CVDesignr. It has its quirks, but is very powerful. You can make resumes in different languages for example.
I genuinely don’t understand how this exists. I could log in using an official french citizen login, so I guess it’s maintained by the french government ? Anyways, it’s pretty great.
